Lynn Coveyduck, President & CEO
Lynn joined JA in May 2006 as President & CEO after being a JA volunteer for more than five years. She has a Public Relations degree from Mount Saint Vincent University and a BA from Mount Allison. Before joining JA spent her career in the private and public sector, primarily in communications planning, strategy, media relations and project management. She also has her Certificate in Financial Management and is an active community volunteer.
Lesley Waugh, Office Manager
Lesley has been with JA since 1991 and was previously a teacher. She been involved in the management of all our programs over the years and in particular was an EFS program manager for nine years. Lesley is now part time office manager.
Blake Smith, JA Program Manager, Northeast Nova Scotia
Blake joined JA the summer of 2009. Before joining JA, Blake was working in Sales & Marketing with Heritage Gas Limited in the Amherst area. Blake has his diploma in Business Administration-Marketing from NSCC graduating at the top of his program with honours; at the same time, Blake was the Student Association President for his local Campus. Blake is currently on the Board of Governors for the College.
Brenda Kenney, JA Program Manager, Southwestern Nova Scotia
Before joining the JA Staff in January of 2000, Brenda had been a Company Program volunteer for seven years. Her background is in Business Administration, Economic Development, Tourism and Health Care.
Jana Brown, JA Program Manager, Halifax Region
Jana joined JA in January 2010. During her first year studying psychology and human resources at Saint Mary’s University, Jana started a handmade soap business eventually supplying throughout Atlantic Canada. She sold her business in the Fall of 2009, and you will now find her at the Running Room training for her next big race.
Maria MacDonald, JA Program Manager, Cape Breton
Maria has a BBA from Cape Breton University and has experience in the tourism, education and curriculum development areas. She has worked with CBCEDA, the Cape Breton Post and UCB. Maria is currently on the membership committee for the Sydney Chamber of Commerce
